Have You No Decency?
Wed Jul 23, 2008 at 04:17:57 PM PDT
What has happened to our country? What has happened to the very values that we claim to espouse? Have we become so depraved of our moral center that we would so carelessly and with ease attack a person because someone else claims to have an expose on them? Have we no decency?
Veepstakes 2008: A Case is Made
Fri Jul 18, 2008 at 08:16:47 PM PDT
Since Barack Obama wrapped up the Democratic nomination nearly 1.5 months ago, the campaign has been searching for the best person to fill the lower half of the ticket. Names have surfaced in the media. Some have made "Sherman" statements, while others have been more coy than others about any potential interest.
So while the Obama team goes through the vetting process, I'd like to be another person in a long line of people to recommend a name that has appeared to be on the list. It is a name we are all familiar with yet aren't sure what role this person should be in. Today, I'd like to make the case for John Edwards.
The Audacity to be Angry
Sun Aug 12, 2007 at 07:28:24 AM PDT
For the past few days, I have been trying to figure out what quality was making me support my preferred 2008 Democratic Presidential candidate. I like this person's leadership. I like this person's ideas. But there was something else that I couldn't quite pinpoint up until last night. While I was preparing to go to bed last night, I was thinking about what has happened to the world (and my family [which is going through a rough patch]), and I couldn't help put get angry.
But as I was lying awake, I suddenly had a revelation. I finally found that "quality," that trait that was making me so strongly support one candidate compared to all the others. So as a result, I decided to write a message (yes, I know, slightly weird) that I would deliver to not just fellow Democrats but fellow Americans about why I support this candidate.
Message below the fold.
YK08 - The Dawn of a New Era: The Case for Buffalo, NY
Thu Aug 09, 2007 at 11:15:34 AM PDT
Greetings to All:
As I read many of the comments about where to hold YK08, I realize that many of the cities advocated are some of the largest (and busiest) cities in the US. Today, I’d like to make a case for my hometown, a city large enough to host such an event but yet small enough where you can enjoy that small-town aura – Buffalo, NY.

Why I Think Edwards Won But Hillary Gained
Mon Jul 23, 2007 at 10:07:43 PM PDT
Tonight was yet another night in what has seemed like the never-ending 2008 Presidential Election cycle. Except unlike other nights, tonight all the candidates participated in a first-of-its-kind debate - one where we the people were the interviewers of the many DNC Candidates.
After watching tonights debate, I came to one conclusion - the winner of the debate was John Edwards, but Hillary Clinton will have gained the most in the long run.
